General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for the modernization of a hydraulic elevator at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Background
The existing passenger hydraulic elevator at the Vancouver Art Gallery is at the end of its lifecycle (originally installed in 1982). Recent reliability issues have increased the urgency to replace the elevator.
The Work generally includes, but is not limited to:
- complete cathodic anode replacement within 60 days following contract award;
- modernization of elevator drive equipment with battery lowering device;
- all work and requirements set out in Schedule 11 (Special Conditions) to the Form of
Agreement.
The Site is located at 800 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. The Site is further described in the Tender Documents.

Information Meeting
Tenderers are required to attend a mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory
Information Meeting”) on July 17, 2019 commencing at 9:00 a.m. Vancouver Time.
The location of the Mandatory Information Meeting will be: 800 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. Tenderers are asked to meet in the lobby area located at the side entrance (red canopy) on Hornby Street.
