General Description of Requirement

The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for the provision of services of an elevator contractor in the modernization of the passenger elevators at the New Continental.

The Work generally includes, but is not limited to:
-Construction and modernization of 2 (two) traction elevator; and+
-Replacement of 2 controllers, COP’s and hoisting machines as per specifications

The Site is located at 1067 Seymour Street, Vancouver, British Columbia.

The purpose of this ITT is to select a Tenderer with the capability and experience to efficiently and cost-effectively perform and complete the Work.

IF A POTENTIAL TENDERER BELIEVES THAT THE CITY MAY BE UNABLE TO SELECT IT DUE TO A CONFLICT OF INTEREST, BUT IS UNCERTAIN ABOUT THIS, THE POTENTIAL TENDERER IS URGED TO CONTACT THE CONTACT PERSON AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WITH THE RELEVANT INFORMATION SO THAT THE CITY MAY ADVISE THE POTENTIAL TENDERER REGARDING THE MATTER. SEE SCHEDULE “L” FOR AN INDICATION OF THE TYPES OF CONFLICTS OF INTEREST THAT OFTEN ARISE.

Information Meeting

MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING
Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory Information Meeting”) on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 commencing at 10:00a.m.

The location of the Mandatory Information Meeting will be: 1067 Seymour Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. Please meet in the front of the building at 10:00a.m. Street parking is available.

Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Mandatory Information Meeting by submitting the Mandatory Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by fax or email prior to 12:00p.m., Monday, July 30, 2018.

ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS

Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by fax or email on or before 12:00p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018.
