General Description of Requirement

The RFP concerns the City’s interest in procuring Contracted Janitorial Services that meet APPA Cleaning Standards. The City and Park Board facilities/sites are listed in the following separate attachments: Annex 1 - Scope of Work – City and Parks Facilities; and Annex 2 - Scope of Work –Parks Fieldhouse Washrooms. Proponents may respond to one or more facilities in Annex 1. However, Proponents interested in responding to Annex 2 must be willing to provide contracted janitorial services to all of the Parks fieldhouse washrooms listed in Annex 2.

(note: at the time of the posting of the RFP, the Homelessness Services Offices at 390 Powell Street may be included in Annex 1 - Scope of Work – City and Parks Facilities, in early 2018; however, as at the RFP posting date, no additional information is available.)

(a)The Mandatory requirements of the RFP are set out in Part A, Section 2.3.

(b)In addition to satisfying the Mandatory requirements set out in Part A, Section 2.3, thesuccessful proponent(s) will be required to meet additional requirements set out inPart A, Section 2.4.

(c)Details of the City’s objectives and service requirements to which the RFP relates areset out in Part B of the RFP. The City welcomes proposals that are responsive to thisRFP (“Proposals”) respecting innovative or novel approaches to the City’s objectivesand requirements.
