“Vancouver Time” will be conclusively deemed to be time in the City of Vancouver, as indicated in the electronic timestamp the Quotation receives upon delivery to the email address specified herein, which is in turn synchronized to Network Time Protocol (NTP) provided by the National Research Council of Canada adjusted to local Pacific Time Zone.

Quotations should be submitted by email prior to the Closing Time in accordance with the following:

-RFQ Part C in PDF format – 1 combined PDF file.
-Zip the files to reduce the size or email separately if needed.
Send your submissions to Bids@vancouver.ca do not deliver a physical copy to the City of Vancouver.
If you did not receive an automated email within few minutes, check your junk folder first, and then contact Purchasing@vancouver.ca
Submitting the files via Drop box, FTP, or similar programs, is not acceptable.
Quotations must be marked with the vendor’s name and the RFQ title and number.
DO NOT SUBMIT QUOTATIONS BY FAX.
Quotations received after the closing time may be returned unopened.
Fax quotations will not be accepted.

General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) is seeking quotations to determine if it will enter into one or more contracts in respect of Contractor for Installation of Greenside Irrigation Heads at City Golf Course.
Vendors should carefully review Appendix 1 – Requirements for a detailed description of the City’s requirements.
The purpose of this RFQ is to retain a contractor with golf course installation experience to replace all existing greenside irrigation heads and twin those heads through installation of new heads and wire back to the zoned satellite, at one or more golf courses in Vancouver, including the Langara Golf Course.
The Langara Golf Course has an older style irrigation system that is not able to separately irrigate the greens and immediate rough surrounding the greens. Rather our greenside irrigation is watered by one 360 degree irrigation head. What we need is two irrigation heads at the site of each existing head in order to water the different types of playing surfaces independently. This would allow for improved water conservation as both areas use very different amounts. By installing the extra irrigation heads we will be able to have better control of where our water is being applied, and manage how we water/irrigate our primary playing surfaces “greens and green surrounds”.
