General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) is seeking quotations to determine if it will enter into one or more contracts in respect of REMOVAL OF AVIAN NETTING – BURRARD BRIDGE.
The City installed avian exclusionary netting on the Burrard Bridge in 2015 to prevent
disruption of the nests (for Pelagic Cormorants) during the Burrard Bridge
reconstruction (from 2016 to 2018). The City now needs to remove the Burrard Bridge
avian exclusion netting to provide alternate nesting habitat for the Pelagic Cormorants
during major rehabilitation and improvement works on the Granville Bridge (Granville
Bridge Rehabilitation and Greenway Project).
Vendors should carefully review Appendix 1 – Requirements for a detailed description of the City’s requirements.
