CLOSING LOCATION
Quotations should be submitted by email prior to the Closing Time in accordance with the following:
The subject of the email is to be: PS20181587 – “Mattress Hauling Services for
Vancouver South Transfer Station and Vancouver Landfill” – Vendor organization
name.
Document format for submissions:
RFQ Quotation Form in PDF format – One combined PDF file.
Zip the file to reduce the size, or divide the file and email separately if
needed.
Send your submissions to Bids@vancouver.ca do not deliver a physical copy to the City
of Vancouver.
If you do not receive an automated acknowledgement email from the City within a few
minutes, check your junk folder first, and then contact Purchasing@vancouver.ca
Submitting the files via Drop box, FTP, or similar programs, is not acceptable.
Quotations must be marked with the vendor’s name and the RFQ title and number.
“Vancouver Time” will be conclusively deemed to be time in the City of Vancouver, as
indicated in the electronic timestamp the Quotation receives upon delivery to the email
address specified herein, which is in turn synchronized to Network Time Protocol (NTP)
provided by the National Research Council of Canada adjusted to local Pacific Time Zone.
DO NOT SUBMIT QUOTATIONS BY FAX.
Quotations received after the closing time may be returned unopened.
Fax quotations will not be accepted.

General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) is seeking quotations to determine if it will enter into one
or more contracts in respect of hauling services to transport used mattresses form the City’s
Vancouver South Transfer Station (“VTS”) located in the City and from the Vancouver Landfill
(“VLF”) located in Delta, BC to the Recycling Facility in Hope, British Columbia.
The City allows for the mattress Processor to partner with haulers and submit a joint bid whereby one party acts as the Supplier and the other as a sub-contractor.
Vendors should carefully review Appendix 1 – Requirements for a detailed description of the City’s requirements.
