General Description of Requirement
The 2022 Vancouver General Election (“2022 Vancouver Election”) will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Approximately 450,000 registered voters in Vancouver will elect a Mayor, 10 Councillors, nine School Trustees and seven Park Board Commissioners.
The Vancouver Election Office seeks an agency with professional translators who will expand language access, and translate information for voters in plain and inclusive language in the following languages:
1. Traditional Chinese
2. Simplified Chinese
In Vancouver, these languages—in addition to English—have been identified by latest census data available (2016; 2021 census for language will be released in August 2022) as the top 10 languages most often used at home, and/or the languages in which people feel most comfortable communicating in.
