All references to time in the RFP are references to the time in the City of Vancouver, as indicated in the electronic timestamp the Proposal receives upon delivery to the email address specified herein, which is in turn synchronized to Network Time Protocol (NTP) provided by the National Research Council of Canada adjusted to local Pacific Time Zone.

SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS

Proponents should submit their Proposals on or before the time and date specified in the bottom row of the table in Section 2.1 above (the “Closing Time”).

Each Proponent should submit its Proposal by email in accordance with the following:

Document format for submissions:
-RFP Part C – Fillable (except for Appendix 3) in PDF format – 1 combined PDF file,
-Appendix 1 to Part B (Technical Specifications) in Excel format,
-Appendix 3 (Commercial Proposal) in in a separate PDF format, and;
-Any other attachments if necessary

Zip the files to reduce the size or email separately if needed.

Submitting the files via Drop box, FTP, or similar programs, is not acceptable.

Do not fax.

To be considered by the City, a Proposal must be submitted in the form set out in Part C (the “Form of Proposal”), completed and duly executed by the relevant Proponent.

Proposals received after the closing time may be returned unopened.

Faxed proposals will not be accepted.

General Description of Requirement

The City of Vancouver is seeking proponent(s) who are able to provide semi-automated 20 yard side loading refuse trucks (automated trucks). The City is interested in procuring Battery-Electric and/or CNG powered automated trucks that include fully automated loading arm(s). The City is interested in the immediate procurement of five (5) automated trucks, with an option to purchase an additional (29 +) units during the term of the agreement. Details of the City’s objectives and requirements to which the RFP relates are set out in Part B of the RFP. The City welcomes proposals that are responsive to this RFP (“Proposals”) respecting innovative or novel approaches to the City’s objectives and requirements.
