SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS
Proponents should submit their Proposals on or before the time and date specified in the
bottom row of the table in Section 2.1 above (the “Closing Time”).
Each Proponent should submit its Proposal by email in accordance with the following:
-Subject of the file to be: PS# - Title – Vendor name.
-Document format for submissions:
o RFP 0 in PDF format – 1 combined PDF file,
o Appendix 3 (pricing tab) in Excel format, and;
o Any other attachments if necessary
- Zip the files to reduce the size or email separately if needed.
- Send your submissions to Bids@vancouver.ca; do not deliver a physical copy to the City of
Vancouver.
- If you did not receive an automated email within few minutes, check your junk folder first,
and then contact Purchasing@vancouver.ca.
-Submitting the files via Drop box, FTP, or similar programs, is not acceptable.
To be considered by the City, a Proposal must be submitted in the form set out in Part C (the“Form of Proposal”), completed and duly executed by the relevant Proponent.
Amendments to a Proposal may be submitted via the same methods, at any time prior to the
Closing Time.
Proposals are revocable and may be withdrawn at any time before or after the Closing Time.
Proposals received after the closing time may be returned unopened.
Faxed proposals will not be accepted.

General Description of Requirement
This RFP concerns the City’s interest in engaging a professional consulting team to provide consulting
services for a voluntary structural seismic retrofit of Fire Hall 12 located at 2460 Balaclava Street,
Vancouver, British Columbia.
Constructed in 1987, the City-owned Fire Hall 12 is a 2-storey building with a mezzanine and hose
tower. The building area is approximately 4,400 sf at ground level. Fire Fall 12 is occupied by
Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services.
Details of the City’s objectives and requirements to which the RFP relates are set out in Part B of the RFP. The City invites proposals from Proponents (“Proposals”) that are responsive to this RFP, but will consider innovative or novel approaches to the City’s objectives and requirements. Proposals should identify a full team, including an architect/prime consultant, and sub-consultant team including a structural engineer, capable of providing design, construction documentation, contract administration and post-construction services.

Information Meeting
An information meeting (the “Information Meeting”) will be held to enable Proponents to seek clarification with respect to any aspect of the RFP in a group forum. The details are as follows:
