General Description of Requirement

The City’s Engineering Services Department - Streets Design Branch has identified to date, about 5,000 locations where curb ramps are missing in the City’s current walking infrastructure.

Of that number, approximately 600 curb ramps have been requested by residents and have been placed on a backlog that the City would like to address. The initial contract award will be for a one year duration and it is expected that approximately 150-200 curb ramps will be completed during the initial one year term. At the sole discretion of the City, three additional one year contract extensions may be granted and if so it is it is expected that approximately 150 curb ramps will be completed during each one year contract extension, for a maximum contract term of four years.

The City is seeking Proposals from qualified companies to complete these services as further described within the RFP.
