All references to time in the RFP are references to the time in the City of Vancouver, as indicated in the electronic timestamp the Proposal receives upon delivery to the email address specified herein, which is in turn synchronized to Network Time Protocol (NTP) provided by the National Research Council of Canada adjusted to local Pacific Time Zone.
CLOSING LOCATION
Proponents should submit their proposals on or before 3:00pm on the 19th day of November, 2018 (the “Closing Time”) by email in accordance with the following:
Each Proponent should submit its Proposal by email to Bids@vancouver.ca with the Proponent’s name and the RFP title and number in the “subject” line “In Respect of a Burn Table Retrofit"; PS20181543”

Zip the files to reduce the size or email separately if necessary.

To be considered by the City, a Proposal must be submitted in the form set out in Appendix 1 (the “Proposal Form”), completed and duly executed by the relevant Proponent.
Proposals received after the closing time may be returned unopened.
Faxed proposals will not be accepted.

General Description of Requirement
The City requires a retrofit to its existing ESAB Sabre SXE cutting machine (Burn Table) or a brand new machine for use by the Fabrication Shop of the Equipment Services Branch.
Some major parts of the current machine in use by Engineering Services have come to the end of their life cycle and are due for replacement. The cutting machine is a vital tool for cutting out many steel and aluminum parts for equipment and projects throughout the City.
