General Description of Requirement
The City is interested in selecting an entity (each, a “Proponent”) that submits a proposal (each, a “Proposal”) with the capability and experience to efficiently and cost-effectively meet the requirements described in this RFP. The City expects to select a Proponent to enter into contract negotiations.
This Request for Proposals (RFP) sets out consulting efforts required to complete a
Feasibility Study and Conceptual Design for a potential Storm Trunk Sewer (TS)
underlying the Arbutus Greenway. This study involves review of topography, hydrology
and hydraulics, potential catchments and catchment sizing, and coordination with the
City’s Sewer & Drainage Design Branch and Green Infrastructure Branch. Constraints
include environmental and archaeology limitations, impacts from climate change (i.e.
rainfall and sea level rise), historic streams and watercourses, groundwater, and
utility conflicts including the proposed streetcar route along the Arbutus Greenway.
This study is to assess the feasibility of a future storm trunk sewer located within the Arbutus Greenway corridor, including modeling and development of conceptual designs for three (3) potential alternatives.
