SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS

Proponents should submit their Proposals on or before the time and date specified in the bottom row of the table in Section 2.1 (the “Closing Time”).

Each Proponent should submit its Proposal by email in accordance with the following:

(a) The subject of the email is to be: PS20180947 - RFP - Design Consultant Alberni Street Project – Vendor organization name
(b) Document format for submissions:
i. RFP Part C in PDF format – One combined PDF file,
ii. Appendix 3 (Commercial Proposal) in Excel format as a separate file, and;
iii. Any other attachments if necessary.
(c) Zip the file to reduce the size, or divide the file and email separately if needed.
(d) Send your submissions to Bids@vancouver.ca do not deliver a physical copy to the City of Vancouver.
(e) If you do not receive an automated acknowledgement email from the City within a few minutes of submitting your bid via email, please check your junk folder first, and then contact Purchasing@vancouver.ca to confirm receipt of your emailed submission.
Submitting the files via Drop box, FTP, or similar programs, is not acceptable.

To be considered by the City, a Proposal must be submitted in the form set out in Part C (the “Form of Proposal”), completed and duly executed by the relevant Proponent.

Proposals received after the closing time may be returned unopened.

Faxed proposals will not be accepted.

General Description of Requirement

The RFP concerns the City’s interest in procuring consulting services related the development of concept designs, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, iteratively developed designs toward a preferred concept, and delivery of a preliminary design package for the Alberni Public Space Improvement project (“APSI”). The design package and its development will be based on City direction and design parameters that reflect City objectives, and incorporate public and stakeholder input.

This preliminary design package is intended to inform subsequent detailed design work, carried out as part of a future project by others.

Details of the City’s objectives and requirements to which the RFP relates are set out in Part B of the RFP. The City welcomes proposals that are responsive to this RFP (“Proposals”) respecting innovative or novel approaches to the City’s objectives and requirements.
