Tenders are to be addressed to the Supply Chain Management office, 4th Floor, City of Vancouver, as represented by its Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, 453 West 12th Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, V5Y 1V4, and received at bids@vancouver.ca prior to 3:00pm, Vancouver Time (as defined in Note 3 below), on August 20, 2020 (the “Closing Time”).
Tenders will be not be publicly opened. Tender results can be found within 48 hours of the Closing
Time at the following website:

NOTES:Tenders must be received at the email addressed specified above prior to the Closing Time.
“Vancouver Time” will be conclusively deemed to be the time indicated in the electronic
timestamp the Tender receives upon receipt at the email address specified herein, which is in
turn synchronized to Network Time Protocol (NTP) provided by the National Research Council of
Canada adjusted to local Pacific Time Zone.
The City of Vancouver, as represented by its Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation is open on business days from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Vancouver Time, and is closed Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver, as represented by its Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation (the“City”) invites Tenders to engage a contractor that will complete grass field renewal at
Montgomery Park. The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, equipment and supervision
necessary to construct 4 new softball diamonds, all in accordance with the drawings and
specifications, and for the prices tendered in the Schedule of Quantities and Prices (Schedule A
of Part C – Form of Tender).
The Work generally includes, but is not limited to:
• Remove existing playfield structures along with irrigation and drainage system and install
new irrigation and drainage system as well as all new site structures, in accordance with
drawings and specifications, four (4) new Softball Diamonds located in Montgomery Park.
• Re-seed softball field turf grass. Work includes topsoil screening and general seed bed
preparations as specified.
• Restoration of the project area including but not limited to adjacent pathways, landscaping
and other natural features to the original condition.
• Provide landscape maintenance for a period of one year beginning on the date of acceptance of the grass fields.
The Work Site is located at Montgomery Park 1040 West 43rd, Vancouver, British Columbia. The
Work Site is further described in the Tender Documents, including the Site Plan attached as
Appendix 3.

Information Meeting
Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory
Information Meeting”) on July 27, 2020 commencing at 2:30 pm.
The location of the Mandatory Information Meeting will be: Montgomery Park 1040 West 43rd,
Vancouver, British Columbia.
Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Mandatory Information Meeting by submitting the Mandatory Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by email prior to July 23, 2020.
