CLOSING LOCATION

Tenders are to be emailed to bids@vancouver.ca and must be received at bids@vancouver.ca prior to 3:00pm, Vancouver Time (as defined in Note 3), on September 14, 2021 (the “Closing Time”).

General Description of Requirement

The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for general construction services to complete Phase 1 the Bridgeway Slope Rehabilitation project which aims to address immediate safety concerns related to a section of the Trans Canada Trail.

The Work generally includes, but is not limited to:

(a) Deconstruction and disposal of existing timber half-structure and associated waste material;
(b) Construction of a new soldier pile wall with concrete lagging backfilled with lean mix concrete and resurface with an asphalt pavement to connect with the existing pedestrian trail, including precast roadside barriers and fencing.

The Site is located between the intersection of Bridgeway St. and North Skeena St., and the underside of the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge, in Vancouver, BC. The Site is further described in the Tender Documents, including the Site Plan attached on the cover page of the drawing package.

Information Meeting

INFORMATION MEETING

Tenderers are invited to attend an information meeting (the “Information Meeting”) on August 31, 2021 commencing at 10:00 A.M.

The location of the Information Meeting will be: at the empty lot at the intersection of Bridgeway St. and North Skeena St., Vancouver, British Columbia.

Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Information Meeting by submitting the Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by email prior to 3:00 P.M., August 27, 2021.

ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS

Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by email on or before 3:00 P.M., September 7, 2021.

It is the sole responsibility of each Tenderer to check the City’s website at
http://vancouver.ca/doing-business/open-bids.aspx regularly for addenda, amendments and questions and answers related to this ITT, which the City may issue at any time during the process, and for any reason, at its discretion.
