CLOSING DATE & TIME

3:00:00 pm (Local Vancouver Time), Thursday, July 8, 2021

“Vancouver Time” will be conclusively deemed to be the time indicated in the
electronic timestamp the Tender receives upon delivery to the email address specified herein, which is in turn synchronized to Network Time Protocol (NTP) provided by the National Research Council of Canada adjusted to local Pacific Time Zone.

CLOSING LOCATION

Tenders are to be emailed to bids@vancouver.ca and must be received at bids@vancouver.ca prior to 3:00 pm, Vancouver Time (as defined in Note 2), on July 8, 2021 (the “Closing Time”).

Tenders will be not be publicly opened. Tender results can be found within 48 hours of the Closing Time at the following website:

General Description of Requirement

The City of Vancouver as represented by its Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation (the “City”) invites Tenders for the replacement of the de-watering pump at McCleery Golf Course.

The Work generally includes, but is not limited to:

(a) Site Mobilization and Hoarding;
(b) Deconstruction and disposal of waste material, and abatement of hazardous material;
(c) Replace structure, new pumps and re-locate electrical; and
(d) Commissioning and training.

The Site is located at the De-watering Station (South of the 8th Green) at the McCleery Golf Course, 7188 MacDonald Street, British Columbia. The Site is further described in the Tender Documents, including the Site Plan attached as Appendix 3.

The purpose of this ITT is to select a Tenderer with the capability and experience to efficiently and cost-effectively perform and complete the Work. Perspective Tenderers should note that only experienced pump station construction and/or modification contractors and/or subtrades are qualified for bidding this project. The Tenderer is required to provide at least three references with details of similar sized construction and/or modification of pump station projects that the Tenderer has completed in the last five years and demonstrate they have the following qualifications.

(a) have installed similar turbine pump stations in the last 2 years;
(b) employees must have Red Seal Plumber certification; and
(c) company must have been in business for 10 or more years.

Information Meeting

MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING

Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory Information Meeting”) on June 23, 2021 commencing at 10:00 A.M.

The location of the Mandatory Information Meeting will be: at the dead end street of 2908 Celtic Ave (closest cross street is Carnarvon Street), Vancouver, BC.

Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Mandatory Information Meeting by submitting the Mandatory Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by email prior to 3:00 P.M., June 21, 2021.

ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS

Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by email on or before 3:00 P.M., June 30, 2021.
