General Description of Requirement

The City of Vancouver invites tenders from prequalified construction contractors for landfill gas, leachate, and stormwater upgrades at the Vancouver Landfill (the “Landfill”).

The Landfill has been in operation since 1966. It currently serves approximately 70% of the Metro Vancouver region. Its existence and operation are authorized by the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOE), under an Operational Certificate (OC) issued to the City for it, and under the Metro Vancouver’s Integrated Solid Waste and Resource Management Plan (ISWRMP). Information Meeting

MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING

Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory Information Meeting”) on Thursday, February 20, 2020 commencing at 11:00 a.m.

The Mandatory Information Meeting will take place at the Landfill.

All persons attending the Mandatory Information Meeting on behalf of Tenderers must bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE) consisting of steel toe footwear, high visibility vests, and safety glasses.

Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Mandatory Information Meeting by submitting the Mandatory Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by email prior to Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.

ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS

Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by email on or before Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

It is the sole responsibility of each Tenderer to check the City’s website at
http://vancouver.ca/doing-business/open-bids.aspx regularly for addenda, amendments and questions and answers related to the ITT, which the City may issue at any time during the process, and for any reason, at its discretion.
