General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for construction services to complete
upgrades to the existing outlet structure between Beaver Lake and Beaver Creek situated
within Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia. The current outlet culvert between Beaver
Lake and Beaver Creek is regularly blocked by beaver dam construction, resulting in an
increased flood risk, impacts to park infrastructure and potential water quality issues.
The Work generally includes, but is not limited to:
-Removal of existing outlet culverts as indicated on the Drawings;
-Earthworks to achieve grades indicated in the Drawings;
-Supply and installation of a pre-cast concrete box culvert;
-Supply and installation of pre-cast reinforced concrete headwalls;
-Cast-in-place concrete work, including the spillway and bench pads;
-Fabrication and installation of metal trash racks onto the inlet and outlet of the box
culvert;
-Fabrication and installation of fishway baffle plates and stoplog guides;
-Supply and placement of embarkment rock;
-Supply and placement of large woody debris;
-Supply and placement of outlet and downstream riffle; and
-Installation of owner-supplied benches, including delivery to site from Evans Yard.
Refer to the Drawings and Specifications for a more detailed description of the Work.
The Site is located at Beaver Lake within Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Site is further described in the Tender Documents, including the site plan included in the Drawings.

Information Meeting
THE INFORMATION MEETING HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED AS FOLLOWS:
Tenderers are invited to attend an information meeting (the “Information Meeting”) on March
9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Vancouver Time.
Tenderers are invited to attend an information meeting (the “Information
Meeting”) on March 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., Vancouver Time.
The Information Meeting will be held at Beaver Lake within Stanley Park, in Vancouver, British
Columbia. Tenderers are asked to meet at the entrance to Beaver Lake Trail at Pipeline Road
five (5) minutes prior to the start of the Information Meeting.
Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Information Meeting by submitting the Information
Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by email on or before March 5,
2020.
ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS
Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by email on or before March 20, 2020.
It is the sole responsibility of each Tenderer to check the City’s FTP Site (as described in Section 3.2) regularly for addenda, amendments and questions and answers related to this ITT, which the City may issue at any time during the process, and for any reason, at its discretion.
