General Description of Requirement

The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for the construction of Fire Hall 17. This is a replacement fire hall that will have three levels above ground and one level of partial basement, four apparatus bays and full size hose tower. It will be of non-combustible construction and built to a post-disaster structural standard. It will include accommodation for
a two-crew operation and provisions for use of the building and grounds for training, as well as an IT and communications hub. It will also include on-grade parking for 6 vehicles as well as a genset, garbage/recycling area, and fueling provisions. The overall gross floor area is approximately 2014 m2.

The Site is located at 7070 Knight Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. The Site is further described in the Tender Documents, including the specifications and drawings attached as Appendix 2.

The purpose of this ITT is to select a Tenderer with the capability and experience to efficiently and cost-effectively perform and complete the Work.

Information Meeting

Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory Information Meeting”) on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 commencing at 1:00 pm.

The location of the Mandatory Information Meeting will be: 7070 Knight Street, Vancouver, British Columbia.

Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Mandatory Information Meeting by submitting the Mandatory Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 3) to the Contact Person by email prior to Tuesday, July 17, 2018.
