General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for the preloading of an area at the
Vancouver Landfill known as the future Construction & Demolition Material Recovery Plant or“C&D”.
The Work generally includes, but is not limited to:
- Earthworks including excavation, site preparation and movement of soil materials;
- Supply and installation of preloading clear crush and aggregate, geogrid, geotextile, and
settlement gauges;
- Moving of utilities;
- Removal of preloading clear crush, geotextile and settlement gauges;
- Traffic Management; and
- Acting as the Prime Contractor on site.
The Work Site is located at 5400 72nd Street, Delta, British Columbia. The Work Site is further described in the Tender Documents, including the Site Plan attached as Appendix 3.

Information Meeting
Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory
Information Meeting”) on Monday, September 17, 2018 commencing at 10:00 a.m.
The Mandatory Information Meeting will take place at the Landfill.
All persons attending the Mandatory Information Meeting on behalf of Tenderers must bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE) consisting of steel toe footwear, high visibility vests, and safety glasses.
Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Mandatory Information Meeting by submitting the Mandatory Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by email prior to Friday, September 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.
ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS
Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by email on or before Friday, September 28, 2018.
