General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for construction services for trenchless
sewer construction.
The Work generally includes, but is not limited to:
the installation of a 1500 mm diameter centrifugally cast, glass-fiber-reinforced,
polymer mortar (CCFRPM) pipe using a trenchless method;
the installation of a 450 mm diameter CCFRPM pipe using a trenchless method; and
being and acting as the Prime Contractor on Site.
It is expected that City forces will provide entry and exit pits, dewatering, bypass pumping,
and all other aspects of construction other than the trenchless pipe installation. However, the
contractor’s work may include:
installation and restoration of the launching pit, receiving pits, and associated work;
and
return of the entire site to the City’s control.
The Work Site is located at Prince Albert Street and E. 37th Avenue, in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Work Site is further described in the Tender Documents, including the Site Plan attached as Appendix 3.

Information Meeting
MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING
Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory
Information Meeting”) on September 10, 2018 commencing at 10:00 a.m.
The location of the Mandatory Information Meeting will be: Intersection of E. 37th Avenue and
Prince Albert Street, Vancouver, British Columbia.
Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Mandatory Information Meeting by submitting the Mandatory Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by fax or email prior to September 12, 2018.
ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS
Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by email on or before September 20, 2018.
