General Description of Requirement
The purpose of the ITT is to invite tenders from qualified construction contractors for
performance of the Work as required hereunder for the construction of landfill closure and gas
works in Phase 3 Northeast and Phase 4 closure areas of the City of Vancouver’s landfill located
at 5400 72nd Street, Delta British Columbia (the “Landfill”). As indicated, the Work consists of
two Landfill projects, one of which is the Phase 3 NE Closure and Gas Works project and the
other the Phase 4 LFG System Expansion Works project. Each Project will have its own Work
schedule due to the unique timelines required for completion of each. The ultimate objective
of the ITT is the selection of one Tenderer with the capability and experience to efficiently and
cost-effectively perform and complete all of the Work.
MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING
Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory Information Meeting”) on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 commencing at 10:00 a.m.
The Mandatory Information Meeting will take place at the Landfill.
All persons attending the Mandatory Information Meeting on behalf of Tenderers must bring
their own personal protective equipment (PPE) consisting of steel toe footwear, high visibility
vests, and safety glasses.
Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Mandatory Information Meeting by submitting the
Mandatory Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by email
prior to Friday, March 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.
Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by email on or before Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
