General Description of Requirement

The City of Vancouver (the “City”) is seeking expressions of interest (“Expressions of Interest”) from experienced housing operators (“Operator”) with proven operational, financial and managerial track records for the operation of a non-profit or co-operative housing unit at 3030 Victoria Drive.

The City of Vancouver purchased the house in January of 2016 for the Board of Parks and Recreation with the eventual intention to demolish the structure to allow for the expansion of Trout Lake Park. The City wishes to contract with a housing operator that will rent the house for residential occupancy on a non-profit basis for a period of ten (10) years, subject to possible extension.

The Housing Vancouver Strategy, adopted by Council in November 2017, guides the City’s approach to affordable housing.
