General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) is seeking quotations to determine if it will issue a
purchase order in respect of the requirement for one (1) conventional cab and chassis,
tandem axle diesel engine powered tractor with sleeper to haul 48ft and 53ft flat deck
trailers for Heavy Urban Search and Rescue (HUSAR) Program. The unit will travel on
congested streets and highways to various locations. The operation will be all weather,
day and night service, and is acknowledged to be severe service. The transport vehicles
are composed of a tandem axle chassis and a 48 ft (14.6 m) /53 ft (16.2 m) tandem axle
trailer. The tractor trailer combination is to provide maximum payload while adhering to
all laws and regulations. This unit will join a fleet of HUSAR. The goal is to introduce
