General Description of Requirement

The RFP concerns the City’s interest in procuring services of an experienced consultant or consultant team, with expertise in system-wide recreation planning, to develop a long-range strategy for track and field sports and facilities in Vancouver. Details of the City’s objectives and requirements to which the RFP relates are set out in Part B of the RFP. The City welcomes proposals that are responsive to this RFP (“Proposals”) respecting innovative or novel approaches to the City’s objectives and requirements.

The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation (Park Board) is developing a long-range strategy for track and field sports and facilities in Vancouver. In short, the Strategy will assess current conditions, determine a vision, identify gaps to reaching that vision and develop a 10-year implementation plan that will include the short-term goal of locating a competitive training facility.
