General Description of Requirement

The RFP concerns the City’s interest in procuring a multi-disciplinary consultant team to provide public engagement and conceptual design services to design a new skateboard park in or near downtown Vancouver, Canada. The consultant team must:

(a) include a landscape architect, registered to operate in the province of British Columbia; and
(b) have demonstrated prior experience in designing at least three skateboard park development projects of similar scale.
Preference may be given to proponents:
(a) with strong public engagement and facilitation skills; and
(b) whose consulting team demonstrates knowledge, experience, and creativity related to the design and construction of skateboard parks in urban environments.

Details of the new skateboard park and the City’s objectives and requirements to which the RFP relates are set out in Part B of the RFP. The City welcomes proposals that are responsive to this RFP (“Proposals”) respecting innovative or novel approaches to the City’s objectives and requirements.
