General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for the replacement of the existing
lighting system in the Expo Tunnel.
The Work generally includes, but is not limited to:
(a) Provide a lighting system for the Expo Tunnel to replace and upgrade the
existing lighting system in two phases, in accordance to the timelines and
specifications provided.
(i) Phase 1 – Supply, installation and commissioning of:
the South row of tunnel lights (Luminaires) and the respective
mounting system, closest to the stadium building, which
constitutes and is referred to as Phase 1, as shown on Expo
Boulevard Tunnel Lighting (Phase 1) drawings, Dwg# 5608-17-05,
Rev E (Sheet 4, 5 of 7);
a Service Kiosk, a Tunnel Lighting Control Panel and the Lighting Control sensor
(ii) Phase 2 – Supply, installation and commissioning of:
the North row of tunnel lights (Luminaires) and the respective
mounting system, furthest from the stadium building as
highlighted by clouds indicating “Phase 2 (2019)” as shown on
Expo Boulevard Tunnel Lighting (Phase 1) drawings, Dwg# 5608-
17-05, Rev E (Sheet 4,5,6 of 7);
this Work will be contingent to the 2019 approved budget.
(iii) Provide Traffic Management Plan and Control;
(iv) to be completed in accordance to the Form of Tender;
The Site is located in the Expo Tunnel between Griffiths Way and Smithe Street, in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Site is further described in the Tender Documents, including the Site Plan attached as Appendix 2.
ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS
Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the
Response Notification Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by email on or before
July 3, 2018.
