General Description of Requirement

The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for the construction of a new eleven-storey social housing building with a community services centre at the ground floor at 124 Dunlevy Avenue. The project is pursuing certification under USGBC LEED for Homes Mid-Rise with a requirement to obtain a Gold certification level.

The Work generally includes, but is not limited to:

-Construction of a new building with eleven storeys of non-combustible construction, with one level of basement;
-The basement will include parking, bike storage rooms and service rooms. The overall gross floor area is approximately 11,000 m2, which comprises ~1,300 m2 of community services component at the ground floor and ten storeys of ~9,700 m2 of housing;
-The community services centre will include a large scale commercial kitchen and dining facility with ~100 seats, showers and laundry facilities. There will be 213 housing units with 175 studios, 19 one bedroom and 19 two bedroom units.

The Site is located at 124 Dunlevy Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia. The Site is further described in the Tender Documents attached as Appendix 2. Prime Consultant for this project is DYS Architecture.

This ITT is limited to Tenderers who have been pre-qualified by the City to submit a Tender as per the Request for Contractor Pre-Qualification PS20172447 held in February 2018.

Information Meeting

MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING

Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory Information Meeting”) on June 6, 2018 commencing at 10:00am.

The location of the Mandatory Information Meeting will be: Town Hall Meeting Room #116, City Hall Ground Floor, 453 West 12th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5Y 1V4.

ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS

Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by email on or before June 29, 2018.
