General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for the replacement of an existing shell and
tube ammonia chiller at the Kitsilano Ice Arena.
The Work generally includes replacement of an existing shell and tube ammonia chiller and
replacement of an existing high pressure receiver. Related piping and electrical upgrades are
included in the scope.
Tenderers are advised that the City is soliciting bids for two other similar projects at ice arenas. All three Invitations to Tender are posted on the City’s “Open bids” website.
Information meetings for all three projects will be arranged in sequence to take place on the
same day as for this ITT as noted below in section 4.0.
The Site is located at 2690 Larch Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. The Site is further described in the Tender Documents.
MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING
Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory
Information Meeting”) on Thursday, June 7, 2018 commencing at 9:00 am.
The location of the Mandatory Information Meeting will be: 2690 Larch Street, Vancouver,
British Columbia. Tenderers are asked to assemble in the lobby of the community center.
Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Mandatory Information Meeting by submitting the
Mandatory Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by fax or
email prior to Wednesday, June 6, 2018.
Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by fax or email on or before Friday, June 8, 2018.
