General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for the renovation/construction of a new
commercial kitchen (approx. 720 sq. ft.), food service area (approx. 667 sq. ft.), office
(approx. 89 sq. ft.), and storage cooler & freezer (approx. 166 sq. ft.). The space is on the
second floor of the Carnegie Community Center building. The existing kitchen currently
occupies the space.
The Work generally includes, but is not limited to: demolition, construction of new walls, new
floors, new t-bar ceiling, new lighting, and new millwork. Replacement and relocation of
equipment, including electrical, plumbing and mechanical HVAC work with roof top units.
The Site is located at 2nd floor, 401 Main Street, Vancouver, BC, British Columbia. The Site is further described in the Tender Documents.
The purpose of this ITT is to select a Tenderer with the capability and experience to efficiently and cost-effectively perform and complete the Work.

Information Meeting
MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING
Tenderers are required to attend the mandatory information meeting (the “Mandatory
Information Meeting”) on Tuesday July 11, 2017 commencing at 8:30 am.
The location of the Mandatory Information Meeting will be: 2nd floor, 401 Main Street,
Vancouver, BC, Vancouver, British Columbia. Assemble in the lobby of the community center
near the information desk.
Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Mandatory Information Meeting by submitting the
Mandatory Information Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by fax or
email on or prior to Friday July 7, 2017.
ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS
Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by fax or email on or before Wednesday July 12, 2017.
