General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for the construction of civic street lighting, and traffic signal improvements at Knight Street and Marine Drive.
The Contractor will be required to work at night to limit traffic impacts on the Knight Street Bridge, Knight Street and Marine Drive.
The Knight Street and Marine Drive Intersection Improvement Project will reduce the frequency and severity of collisions at the highest vehicle-to-vehicle collision location in the City of Vancouver. The project will improve traffic safety by constructing a new onramp from westbound Marine Drive to northbound Knight Street, and by installing a new traffic signal to assist northbound traffic accessing eastbound Marine Drive. The project will also implement improvements for walking, cycling, and transit users.
The Work Site is located at the interchange of the Knight Street Bridge system with Marine Drive. The majority of the Work Site is located on the east side of Knight Street. The Work Site is further described in the Tender Documents, including the Site Plan attached as Appendix 2.
