General Description of Requirement
The City of Vancouver (the “City”) invites Tenders for the work related to the upgrades, as
indicated and specified in the Tender Documents, to the existing Fire Hall #8 in Vancouver,
The Work generally includes, but is not limited to upgrades to the Fire Hall #8 building,
including minor demolition of ceiling, wall, HVAC and electrical, installation of new automatic
sliding doors and storefront glazing at ‘Ground Floor’, new storage room, new bathroom,
upgraded dormitories at ‘Third Floor’, lighting, new exterior parking space, and all related
architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical work required to complete the project and as further specified in the Drawings and Specifications.
The Site is located at 895 Hamilton Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. The Site is further described in the Tender Documents.
Tenderers are invited to attend an information meeting (the “Information Meeting”) on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 commencing at 9:00 a.m. local time.
The location of the Information Meeting will be: Fire Hall #8 located at 895 Hamilton Street,
Vancouver, British Columbia. Tenderers are asked to meet at the front entry and wait to be
Tenderers are asked to pre-register for the Information Meeting by submitting the Information
Meeting Attendance Form (Appendix 1) to the Contact Person by email prior to 3:00 p.m.,
February 6, 2017.
Tenderers are asked to indicate their intentions to submit Tenders by submitting the Response Notification Form (Appendix 2) to the Contact Person by email on or before February 24, 2017.

A second non-mandatory information meeting has been scheduled as follows:
