General Description of Requirement

The City of Vancouver (the “City”) is inviting interested groups or teams to submit responses to this Request for Pre-Qualifications (“RFPQ”) indicating their interest and presenting their qualifications to construct water, sewer, electrical and street infrastructure along 1.4km of the South False Creek Seawall.

Based on the outcome of this RFPQ, a number of teams will be shortlisted and invited to respond to an Invitation to Tender (“ITT”) for the construction of the seawall upgrades.

This project involves infrastructure and landscaping upgrades to the South False Creek Seawall from Alder Bay Walk to Stamps Landing. Upgrades include: constructing new or wider pedestrian and cyclist paths and medians, replacing surface treatments and landscaping, installing new pathway lighting and underground infrastructure, and installing underground
servicing for an automated public toilet (APT) and a water fountain. All construction is to take place between September 5, 2017 and December 15, 2017 and must be phased to minimize impacts on public use of the seawall.

The successful Respondent will report to the City’s Project Manager and will be responsible for site preparation, traffic management and communications, materials procurement, construction, and coordination of sub-contractors including those working on behalf of third party utilities.
